I just started looking into ustream.tv recently and I was interested in using my laptop to stream from but I had no such luck. When I got the screen that was supposed to show my local camera is merely blank :roll:

The fix was easier than I thought but was hard to discover, anyway here is how.

The problem appeared to be Flash 10 itself rather than than EeePC. When I went to youtube.com and tried to right click onto a running video I could not change the any of the settings :-? All I had to do was go to http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager06.html and change the settings there to allow access for ustream.tv :) Simples!
