VMware ESXi: Using Windows Server 2008 R2 as an NFS Server

My goal is to create a new VMware datastore on my Windows Server specifically for *.iso images. This allows me to store these images away from the Virtual OS itself and helps relieve a bit of storage space.

Exchange 2010: Email send error | Client was not authenticated

One of the first of my Exchange 2010 issues to resolve. The issue involves the receive connector’s permissions that are configured to only allow authenticated access. You can easily configure this with Exchange PowerShell Management Console.

Server 2008 | The IP address already assigned to another adapter

I’d just done a transfer of one VMware image to another server but the NIC drivers didn’t seem to transfer over correctly. Wasn’t an issue, just added a new virtual adapter but when I tried to add the previously used IP address I got the following message:

Microsoft TCP/IP
The IP address 10.77.77.7 you have entered for this network adapter is already assigned to another 'NIC1'. 'NIC1' is hidden from the network and Dial-up Connections folder because it is not physically in the computer or is a legacy adapter that is not working. If the same address is assigned to both adapters and they become active, only one of them will use this address. This may result in incorrect system configuration. Do you want to enter a different IP address for this adapter in the list of IP addresses in the advanced dialog box?

Just to note, this is not specifically a VMware error either. I have come across this before in a genuine installation.

GoldMine 8.x: Change Email header X-Mailer Info

Sometimes your GoldMine emails can be caught by spam filters and one of the reasons for this, people are claiming, is that your email header states ‘X-Mailer: GoldMine [8.5.2.9]‘ somewhere. The X-Mailer part of an email header is to notify the mail server what software has been used to send the email, so for example if the email was sent by Outlook it would something similar to ‘X-Mailer: Microsoft Office Outlook, Build 11.0.5510′. We can change this within GoldMine to make it look as if our GoldMine was using Outlook quite easily.
